GiftInMusic.com is partnering with Belle Isle Island to host the 2012 Belle Isle Music Series. Metro Detroiters will enjoy three weekends of FREE live music from both national and local entertainers, which will be showcased at the Belle Isle Band Shell and on the Belle Isle Beach.  Metro Detroit families of all ages will be able to enjoy everything from family inspired picnics, music contests, to our signature Car Style & Drive events.  The series will commence the weekend of July 13, 2012 and run every other weekend for a total of three weeks, ending on August 11, 2012 at the “Celebrating a Healthier Detroit” Expo hosted by The McKinney Foundation! 

In short, 2012 Belle Isle Music Series is a part of a GiftInMusic.com fundraiser campaign, with goals to provide funding for capital improvements on Belle Isle Island.  The first area identified for capital improvements will be the old Belle Isle Band Shell.  Renovations to the exterior and interior are needed, and a portion of the dollars raised will go toward needed repairs.
